I agree with you on both points... the t...Hi Bence!<br />I agree with you on both points... the tablets, if offered, should have been given on time, introducing them halfway through the year is tough.<br />and also the second point of going through the issue of security with the kids. many schools in vienna visit "safer internet" days (www.saferinternet.at/) and invest time and money to teach about what risks are involved when using the internet. showing how to install and use antivirus and firewalls is essential if the users are expected to use technology in their everyday lives - and one could explain: what is a virus, a trojan, a hacker. Too often, these things become more mysterious than they actually are.<br />Why MS doesn't hand them out, I'm not sure. Probably some company policy. A massive multinational company can afford giving out tablets, but they can't afford a bad image from the tablets being dysfunctional or having security issues. I'm more curious about if the school will make good use of them :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
